Buckthorn
Most people who know of Buckthorn know it as a noxious tree/shrub. Many of you may have been involved in a project to eradicate it. However, like most woods, but to an even greater degree, the beauty inside Buckthorn seems to reach out and grab many people. My wife says it has a "heart" energy or connection, which may explain that reaction.
I don't get to make very many boards out of Buckthorn because it is extremely labor intensive to process the wood from (quite small) tree form all the way into boards. But it is SOOO worth the effort! See if you agree.
