Teak
Teak is a very special wood, deserving of its own Gallery. And be assured that the "teak" you are seeing here is real teak, Tectona grandis. There are several other woods that use the word "teak" in their name, such as Cumaru, which is sometimes referred to as Brazilian Teak. But it isn't even related to Tectona grandis. It got the name because someone thought it somehow resembled real Teak.
Enjoy the graining and coloration of boards in this gallery. And know that real teak is an extremely durable wood and resistant to decay from water, etc. That, and it's beauty is why it is often used in high end boats and yachts.
